Service: User experience design, information architecture, visual design
When I came into this project they had already started creating the backend services for the product, but had not started creating any user facing pages.
I did a deep-dive on the business goals, competitive research, and user expectations when taking a class online. I created a series of working wireframes based on that research, iterated on the flows, talked with users, and worked in some very interesting interactions.
USABILITY STUDY NOTE: The working wireframes were setup as a walk-through demo, which were originally part of a larger usability study. For that study only certain areas were made clickable based on the script. For the purpose of displaying these wireframes here i've added a visual indicatior in red to make it clear which areas you can click on. To step through the working wireframes, click here.
I created a unique class and instructor calander concept that allows users to quickly determine if a class is not only right for them, but does it fit with their scheudle. At the same time, users can also quickly access the bio of the instructor.

Once we were happy with the flows, I also created some early visual mocks that were used for the initial development and beta work. To see more of the color mocks, click here.
NOTE: The company has since changed it's name to Global Scholar.
